I finally got round to finishing this baby off!!

Basically things I have changed since last version..

- Given the body paint a slight metallic orangepeel normal map
- added a more obvious flake (yeah it may be too big but wanted to exaggerate it ;) )
-Changed the bokeh on the flare to match that of the DOF
-Sharpened up the close reflections on the shader and blurred the far, basically corrected my fresnel.
-Added a displacement to the tyre sidewall even though you cant see due to DOF lol!

Well thats about it, image is totally 100% cgi no backplates etc for this one!

final note- the tyling of the bump may seem stretched but this is due to the cam lens, I assure you its correctly mapped :P

You crazy ma'facka. I thought it was a photo when I first saw it, and when zoomed in the only thing that gave it away for me was the badge, purely because there's no reflection in the car body of them, or shadow cast from them :)

Love your work, only just found you on DA. I'll add you to my watch.

Thanks for the kind words dude, this is a very old render now so may well visit again in the near future. You wouldnt actually see a reflection of the other car in the badges due to the angle of instance of this image. I have checked your works out and you have impressive photoshop skills, have you ever tried 3d?

I wanted to start 3D a while ago and more-so recently, but it's just never been something I've gotten in to. I started with Photoshop 6 or so years ago and I've stuck with it ever since.

Oh and I didn't mean the badge reflecting the other car, I meant the car that the badge is on reflecting the badge itself.

Amazing work with the model, the lighting and the materials but I think the orange flake ruins it a little.
